Hi there – I’m Staufhammer.  As a firearms enthusiast and amateur photographer, I just plain enjoy shooting; whether it’s sending lead downrange, snapping photos at a car show, or getting back to basics with 35mm film.  I created the Staufhammer Photography page to allow me a place to combine my hobbies together as I gain experience in both shooting firearms, and photographing them.  The main content of this site will be me posting and discussing  my photographs and how I went about taking them, giving reviews and opinions on the firearms I own and find the opportunity to shoot. I’ll likely sneak in the odd automotive or motorsports related post, as well.

If there’s something you’d like to see or have any questions, feel free to shoot me a request!

I won’t be posting all of my work here; just the photos I feel to be ‘better’ than my others, or when I have meaningful text to accompany an image.  If you’re interested, you can check out my other work over on my Flickr page.

  1. Beautiful work! Excellent lighting! Do you mind sharing how you suspended the Red Star rifles for the full profile shots?

    1. Thanks!

Believe it or not, they were just balanced on the seamless paper, resting on the rifles’ sling mounts, rather than being truly suspended. The shadows were removed afterwards in Lightroom or Photoshop.

    1. I have tried fishing line in the past, but it proved to be more trouble to remove than the shadows were! Best of luck, and thank you for the compliments. 🙂
